Helpline
The Brain and Spine Foundation have a Helpline which is run by neuroscience nurses with 70 years of experience between them. It is free to call and available to anyone living with a neurological condition, or caring for someone who does in the UK. The specialist nurses can answer your questions, recommend practical steps and provide the emotional support you and your loved ones need, when you need it most.

Neuro Carers
The Neuro Carers group supports adults who care for people with neurological conditions, providing a safe space to meet and talk openly to others with a shared understanding. The group meet on the second Tuesday of every month, 10:30am – 11:30am, online via Zoom. The Brain Charity
The Brain Charity’s centre is located in Liverpool city centre. At The Brain Charity, they champion neurodiversity and help anyone affected by a neurological condition to rebuild their lives and achieve their potential. There are more than 600 different conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord or nervous system. These are called neurological conditions.
A neurological condition is any condition that affects the brain, spinal cord or nervous system. Many are well-known, such as stroke, dementia, cluster headaches and ADHD. There are also hundreds of conditions that only affect an unlucky few, such as trigeminal neuralgia, Alice in Wonderland Syndrome and Huntington’s disease. Some neurological conditions can begin suddenly, such as brain injury. Some you are born with, such as epilepsy. Others, like multiple sclerosis, can develop over time.

The Walton Centre
The Walton Centre is a leader in the treatment and care of neurology and neurosurgery. It is the only specialist hospital trust in the UK dedicated to providing comprehensive neurology, neurosurgery, spinal and pain management services. Patient and Family Experience Team provides a confidential support and advice service to patients and their families, as well as helping to resolve enquiries and concerns on their behalf. This can be prior to, during or after their visit to The Walton Centre and they can be contacted in various ways including telephone, email or in person.
